The operating credo for aido is “analog input - digital output,” with the premise of their marketing and design aesthetic acting between a bridge between traditional art and design principles with advancing digital techniques across multiple mediums. The core teams background was based in providing radio and guerilla promotions and providing liason work between major record labels (Virgin, MCA/Universal, Tommy Boy, Def Jam) and radio markets, as new teams of artists and marketing developers were added their focus began to include lifestyle and boutique clothing labels, such as LRG, Alphanumeric, and Cosabella, as well as Film and Television. 2007 marked a banner year for the collective as a number of projects culminated in two films being placed within Sundance, an opening turn at the Berlin International Festival, and two Telly Award nominations, which led to a drastic overhaul within the internal structure an the creation of a reaffirmed market presence within the United States.
